Kid’s Bio

Our mom is funny. She is Miss NJ not true, she was but that was a long time ago. She always makes us eat our vegetables. She’s fun to play with. She drives a big white van. She used to be on QVC. She has 5 pocketbooks. She has 3 kids and she taught me (Dean) how to play baseball. She does a lot of comedy. She is on a magazine. She loves her children. She used to have a thousand of jobs but she quit- like QVC, Real Simple and the Radio. She used to work at Emeril. He gave us icecream.She was the host of the Miss America Pageant. She is named after our Grandmom. She used to be a waitress but she gave the guy a ladle to eat soup with, instead of a spoon¦She doesn’t work there anymore. She does the laundry and tickles us. She is a good cook and cuddler. She rubs our heads when we get sick and she lets us sleep in her bed. She likes to pet Daisy. Our Mom has black hair, black and white skin and she wears fancy shoes. She has brown eyes and a squishy butt. We saw the Liberty Bell with her and Dad. As described by Dean age 9, Jacqueline age 6 and Brooke age 3.


TV Host

Dena is a married mother of three and was Miss New Jersey in 1995 proudly placing in the top 50 at the Miss America Pageant.Dena is the official preliminary host for the Miss America Pageant and was also a correspondent on this year’s Miss America pre-show on ABC. She has hosted the TV Land Red Carpet and was the Host of Real Simple on PBS. She has co-hosted “Anderson Live” with Anderson Cooper and has been an on-air correspondent for The Nate Berkus Show. She is also regular fill-in radio talk show host on NJ 101.5.



Dena has performed stand up all over the country since launching her career over 12 years ago. She has been featured in the NY Times and has performed at Gotham Comedy Club, The Laugh Factory and The Comedy Stop at the Trop in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. Dena has also performed at the United Nations for the Comedy Cures foundation in 2009 and is a winner of the coveted Ladies of Laughter competition. Dena’s success has launched her into careers in talk radio, as well as, a warm-up comedian for Anderson Cooper, Katie Couric, The Chew and The Rachel Ray Show.


Event Host/Speaker

Dena has served as an emcee/host for the Miss America Pageant and the NY Moves Power Women event hosted by Arianna Huffington and NY Moves Magazine. Dena also hosted “Broadway on the Boardwalk” for Atlantic City’s “DO AC” program. She is a sought after keynote speaker for many women’s conferences and corporate conferences throughout the country.


When she’s not working on TV, she is writing and producing books and videos for “One Funny Mother” where she makes inappropriate jokes about parenting that are sure to put her kids in therapy.
